- Nope, the first generation PeeCee video was text only, 80x25 columns,
- and at lower resolution than the much older Commodore 8032. Then the
- progression went MDA, Hercules (still monochrome) and THEN, after
- nearly two years, CGA. The first genuine IBM-made CGA card (I've held
- one in my hands) was a long card with an extra half card tacked on the
- side of it. The first Hercules-made copy of this CGA card (which also
- ran twice as fast and had a printer port on it) was a 3/4 card (and
- people wonder why nobody wants to trust IBM with the future of
- technological innovation)

- Much less OCS. I agree. I have a FEW games that don't like ECS or
- AGA, but not any that I particularly miss, and NONE of the
- productivity software worth having has limited itself to such old
- video modes (though I DO wish I could get my hands on an AGA version
- of Real-3D)
